4 Weeks and Counting!

It is hard to believe that there is only 4 more weeks til that special day! The day we celebrate Christ's Birthday! I love this time of the year the most. People have a more thoughtful and giving spirit with them. It is wonderful.
We are all doing great. We leave tomorrow to go down to Salt Lake to pick up my brother from his 2 years of missionary service in Japan. We hope the roads are good for us and that our house doesn't freeze to hard while we are gone.
This last little while has been fun. Skai got over the stomach flew and a bad cough all within weeks of eachother. She is doing great now and is helping me just as much as she ever has. She loved to watch her Aunt Janae, Aunt Shelyse and Uncle Joseph in the Show Choir this past week. She is a little performer herself. She keeps on reminding me that she is going to go to Santa's house with Esther and I, and is really excited about christmas this year. With all the lights and her "Thinker Bell" ornaments (plastic christmas tree balls) she is festive through and through.
Esther is getting bigger. She can now sit by herself pretty much and also likes to eat what we have even if she shouldn't. This morning we had bananas on our cereal and she fussed until she had some to chew on. She she played with a piece until it was just mush abd she couldn't pick up any of the pieces. Then in church, Skai was eating some nuts and dried friut. Esther saw what Skai was eating and insisted on having some. So Landon asisted her in gumming a piece of dried banana (it didn't satisfy her very much). During dinner she nawed on some lettuce. She has quite the little personality and it is fastinationg to watch her as she developes into her own person.
Landon and I have also been busy. We finally have all of our christmas shopping done and will not have to go back into a busy chaotic mall until next year. My sewing projects are done! My mom was bored and completed most of them, but I was able to get the PJs all done. It was quite the experience with my dear little Esther (she is only satisfied with her mom holding her most of the time, which makes few interesting sewing). Landon has been a wonderful father and has helped me so much. I appretiate him a lot. He is willing to deal with the girls so I can get some of my projects done, and for that I am most greatful.
Life is good and busy (Chaos at times). I appretiate all of you family and friends and for your understanding hearts and all that you do for our little family. We feel deeply blessed!
We will update you on our trip next week!

It's the Hardy's said...

How exciting to have your brother home! If you want to help with chocolates I won't turn down the help. It would be fun to get together and visit.
