Well, It is amazing how quickly time goes by. We are already starting to harvest things from our veggetable garden. I took these pictures 5 days before we pulled our pea plants. I have always wanted to take pictures of our garden, but last year there were too many weeds (a new baby and gardening makes for a challenging time in the garden). So this year I have made an extra effort to do well in our garden and so far it has paid off. We have harvested 18 medium sized freezer bags of peas (thanks to mom, Terra, Grandma Johnson, Diane and Jeanna). It took Terra, Mom and I 4 hours to pull the pods off of the plants, and then another 4 hours for Mom, Grandma J, Diane, Jeanna and I to shell them. It was a lot of work but very worth it. Today I picked my first batch of pickling cucumbers and will probably get 6-8 quarts of dill pickles today. Later this week we will be starting our beans. The fun has began, and until the end of September we will be quite busy, but a great busy. The Prophet has stated "The best place to have some food set aside is within our homes. . ." so we are happyly doing that!

Your garden really does look great. Mine did too until the weather turned really hot. I don't function well in extreme heat. (It makes me sick) A few things of ours are still growing despite my lack of attention but I definately know where to come if I am hungry!
Good job.
