Skai's Summer Camp

Skaidrite has always had a passion for horses and riding horses. Her dream is to become a cowgirl when she grows up. To help her get started on that dream we found out about a lady that gives horse back riding lessons here in Raymond and we got in contact with her and registered Skai in a Beginners Summer Camp for Horseback Riding. (Thank you Taya for giving us that info).

Skai this week spent 3 hours every day learning about horses and riding them bareback. She was given Lil Angel, a chocolate Palamino Pony.

She fell in love with her right away and their bond and friendship grew over the few days they were together. Today on the last day, she was able to paint her pony and all the children demonstrated what they had learned over the last few days. Skai did extremely well with the pony and handle the pony's stubbornness quite well. She stopped the pony without reigns, and trotted quite well.

I was really proud of her and what she accomplished in 4 days. If you would like details, feel free to call Skai and she would love to share what she learned and experienced. Needless to say she will more than likely start riding lessons this fall.
