7 More Weeks Till Christmas

We have finally finished in the garden! It was amazing that we got all of the carrots dug on Saturday before the snow and cold. Thanks to the help of family (Lucas and Shelyse) we were able to get it finished!Halloween was fun but quiet. Due to Skia's croopy cough Sunday night and cold, we decided it best that she stay inside. So we had Halloween indoors this year. She dressed up and drew on her baby pumpkin and helped hand out treats to the children that came to our door.
Now that Halloween is over it is time to start decorating for Christmas. (7 more weeks to go) Today I got the Christmas decorations out and the girls helped me start putting things up. We are excited. In 3 weeks my brother, Isaacs comes home from his mission in Japan. He asked to be flown to Salt Lake so that he could see Temple Square all lite up. So my parents, brothers and us are all driving down to get him. It will be a special time for us all, and will enjoy the visiting that we will be able to do on the drive.

It has been a busy summer and fall. With having a new baby in the house things have been a bit more of a challenge in trying to get everything accomplished but we are almost done. We canned enough pickles to last us 5 years I think (57 quarts of Dill Pickles and 33 pints of Bread and Butter). All we have left to harvest are our carrots.Right now we are getting ready for christmas. With 10 weeks to go I wish to get things all done before the holiday rush starts (Malls and stores at christmas time make me nervous). We plan on making most of our gifts this year. I have 7 childrens pajamas, 2 adult pajamas, and 3 childrens coats and hats, 2 adult coats, and a skirt to attempt to do. I am not much of a sewer so it could be interesting. I figure if I start now I may be finished by Christmas Eve!
Our family is slowly growing.
Esther joined our family in May and is a delight to have. Besides the fact that she has chosen to cut her eye teeth first, she is a happy and pleasent girl. She is quick to smile and loves to try and talk. Her newest things is pulling her big sister's hair, and grabing everything within her reach. We love having her a part of our family.
Skaidrite has recently turned 2 and is such a good little helper. She loves to help with the dishes, laundry, clean the bathroom, and help prepare the food. She is also a little dancer and singer (preparing early for Show Choir). She has such a sweet and special spirit, and a loving and caring heart.
Landon and I are doing great. Sleep is very little and far between, but we are enjoying our little family and the joy that comes with it.

I know that you'll be excited to have another comment in this "leave your comment" bit, so I am just trying it out! Was just about to buckle down and hit the books for a couple hours before I go to my next class. Had to check my email first--your blog made me laugh. Man I could use this as like an email thing...you probably wouldn't appreciate that though... I better stop!

Love Ya.
