Christmas Holidays

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy 2009!

Our Christmas Holidays were wonderful. It was great to be able to spend time with so much family around here in Raymond and to visit with family that came up from down south. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents and were able to go caroling to friends here in Raymond. After being out for 1 1/2 hours and stopping at the last house, my dear little Skai asked me " Mom why do we have to sing to so many people?" I then asked her why we celebrated Christmas. She quickly answered "To celebrate Jesus being born." I next asked her "How do the people feel when we sing to them?" She responded "Happy." I then asked "Why do they feel happy?" And she said because they feel Jesus. In conclusion I said, "Isn't it nice for people to feel Jesus in their hearts on his birthday." Skai was content with the reasoning and happily sang to the last family. I was so greatful for that teaching opportunity I had, and that my girls were able to give something to those around us this Christmas Holiday!

New Years Eve was fun but exhausting. Skai and Esther were fighting off a bad cold that week and we had many late nights up in the bathroom steaming them so they could breathe more easily. So we or I barely made it to midnight. I sucomed and had a cat nap with Abigail around 11:30pm but we both woke-up when Landon came and got us to help bring in the new year. It was great fun popping balloons and throwing confette.
Skai collecting confetti.
